Styled to a beautiful high standard, the Townhouses offer you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. The house is ideal for a group of eight people, however an additional bedroom is available to accommodate ten guests should this be required. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The five stunning bedrooms set throughout this extensive property are each provided with a new luxury mattress, ethically crafted in the UK and dressed in high quality linens.
One twin bedroom is located on the ground floor, which can be presented as a super king if preferred (please be aware there is a £15 fee for this service). The open plan kitchen and lounge with log burning fire is also on the ground floor along with a separate dining room with solid oak furniture. Essentials such as cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as an espresso machine. A flat screen smart TV permits access to Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. There are two bedrooms on the first floor (one king size with ensuite bathroom and one double) plus the main family bathroom. Summary: There were very many things about the property that we were disappointed about including ; the curtains did not hang properly ( hoops missing or come away) , the fridge had a broken door seal and door shelves, the freezer had not been cleaned and there were items left in it, there were also items in a bedroom drawer from a previous occupant ( baby food and muslins), the dining room table was sticky with old varnish and everything got stuck to it despite wiping it thoroughly , the lounge sofas had not been swept behind ( we found dust, sweet wrappers and a baby toy) , the lounge sofas were not clean, the yard outside had not been swept, the 1st floor toilet very easily got blocked, ( no items were flushed other than what you would expect), the bed frame in the front 1st floor room was broken, and other things . We took some photos.
