Positive: This large appartment is perfectly situated if you arrive by car - it’s straight off the main road into st malo in a lovely safe area. Short walk to the supermarket. The centre of town and marina is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. The appartment has a lovely big balcony and is comfortable We really enjoyed our stay there. Plenty of on street parking.

Negative: After booking (it’s not possible to cancel) we had a message saying that bed linen was an extra 10 Euros per bed, towels were 3 euros each, and cleaning was 30 euros. There was an option to bring your own bed linen and towels and do a deep clean at the end of your stay to avoid these charges. We felt this wasn’t made clear when booking - when we queried this we were told that these charges were hidden behind the ‘important information’ heading at the very end of the appartment details. (I’ve never clicked through this button before in all the years I’ve been booking with booking.com.) If you’re on a limited budget it’s as well to be aware of this. We would have preferred it if the appartment had included these costs in their header price, as every other appartment we’ve ever stayed in with booking.com has done. Even with Airbnb you are made aware of what these costs will be before booking. This meant we had quite a negative view of the appartment before we arrived. However we loved our stay there.

Summary: A well located lovely appartment with a gorgeous balcony, but beware of hidden charges.
