Summary: Nestled in the residential part of a small French hillside village, lovely valley views whilst having breakfast and evening wine & cheese on the balcony. Belves is a delightful little community with all the characteristics of typical rural life. The only disappointment was the village bakery had closed down so had to drive a short distance to pick up our morning croissants and baguette for breakfast. Seven days of great weather, a chateau wedding, visits to Sarlat (markets on Wed & Sat ) and Monpazier (Thurs ) are highly recommended, the latter having a lovely wineshop- bought some delightful local wines enjoyed on the balcony + supplies to bring home.
