Summary: The cottage is in a perfect location. A few steps away from the river walk but just tucked away around the corner enough that you are away from the busy main area. We used it as a base for some long walks out into the countryside (especially liked the Windrush Way hike) and easy walk to places for dinner. Walking to both Lower and Upper Slaughter is a must! There were only two of us. Would be a bit cosy if you actually had five people in there. We became accustomed to catching the bus to go to Moreton in Marsh and from there you will find a lot of bus/train connections to explore other areas. Went on a day visit to Chipping Camden which is lovely. The church there is a must see! On a rainy afternoon, we visited the Motoring Museum and it was a very pleasant surprise. We were amazed at how big it actually is. When we left, we took the train from Moreton in Marsh to London Paddington which took just over an hour. There is no train station in Bourton on the Water.
