Positive: The location suited us as we were en route at the end of our holiday. The bed was reasonably comfortable albeit 2 singles and not a double. Host was friendly.

Negative: This 'Chateau' is overpriced for what it is. We have stayed in some much better places for less. The rooms were shabby with no working plug in the basin and peeling wallpaper. We were expecting a large double but the bed was 2 singles pushed together but made up separately with a cover over both to make it look as if it was a double. We had the evening meal which was simple and tasty but again far too overpriced for what it was. The first carafe of wine brought to our table had a fly in the bottom of it. Although the owner compensated for that it should not have happened. I got the feeling that we were getting in the way of his family and social life. The breakfast area was an unsympathetic modern extension. The pool looked clean but was untidy and not easy to get to so we didn't bother.
