Summary: Good stuff first: The hotel is beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are fantastic. The spa is nice. The restaurant is very good. Our room was cold. As far as I could tell, it didn't have central heating at all. When we checked in at 16:30 the concierge noticed this and said she'd look into it. When we came back to the room at 19:00 it was still cold, so we raised this with front desk and they said they'd sort it. When we came back again at 22:00 we found there was a small heater in place, doing very little, and that the room was still cold. We phoned the front desk and got a second, larger heater added, which finally brought the room up to a sensible temperature. So, fine, fixed. Just... odd. Then, breakfast was ok, but very slow. I waited about an hour for the cooked breakfast they offered when I arrived in the restaurant. Again, staff were lovely and apologetic, but this is weird. I had a good time! This is a nice place! But it's a fairly expensive hotel - it's supposed to be nice. Meanwhile, these oversights detract from the experience.
