Summary: L'Abri Alsacien "Considering the location is in the heart of the Strasbourg old town, it is a good value for money. The place is very clean, well refurbished, comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, minimal kitchen facilities as described. The biggest drawback is the street noise: this nothing to do with the apartment, but that really disturbed me, despite the earplugs. There is a bar/restaurant outside the windows, and the noise goes till 4 am or so:(( The windows are new, however in summer you need to keep the windows open, as there is no air con - therefore the noise. But that’s the thing you need to be ok with when booking middle of the city. Another thing was the smell of the old building that you feel when entering - but you can live with it. Last thing to mention is recommendation to give more precise instructions about how to find the apartment door - or lable it! For future guests: the white door on the same ground floor as the entry white door, opposite the entrance, right under the stairs."
