Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Love the modern look and feel. Great to have the hot tub and sauna. Well equipped. Friendly staff. Easy to access Tesco 2 mins up the road. Parking outside close to residence. Great to have washing machine but a dryer would've been better than a dishwasher. Tv set up was brilliant and had netflix/prime etc. Nice to have tea/coffee and 4x washing pods.

Negative: No privacy, on a walkway so people always walking past whilst sat in the hot tub/sauna or even inside if the blinds aren't fully shut. Overlooked at the back in the bedrooms too. We wanted a relaxing quiet break and had booked a massage and planned a tlc night but due to lack of privacy and bits mentioned this wasnt made easy. Very modern but not finished well, some broken bits (pics attached). Plug sockets/bath panel etc. The wooden gate with the code wasn't easy to open/close and was left open a lot which then bangs in the wind or it slams closed. Water pressure in the showers were awful so wasn't nice showering. Light not working in the sauna so both evenings we were in the dark in there. Hot tub timer isnt long so had to restart each time and only one setting worked. Sofas were not comfortable at all so relaxing on these in the evening wasn't the best. Would've been good to have salt and pepper and also scissors in the drawer. I feel the price is a lot for what you get. We often do short breaks due to work and pets situation and feel we have had much better for our money. Sadly Ilfracombe seems very run down and let go. We stayed for the fright night at Watermouth castle which was good as near by. I feel £460 for 2 nights for 2 adults was not worth it. Not the tlc romantic weekend away in had envisioned.

Summary: Not the best value for money. No privacy.
