Converted from the old piggery, Poacher has many of original features which has been retained whist beautifully furnished to give a home from home feel. Through the front door, you enter into a large open plan area, within which is the brand new kitchen, dining area and lounge. There are great views across the gardens and countryside beyond from both the living room and all bedrooms.
The living room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with freeview, a DVD Player, DAB raidio/CD/Ipod Dock and two new comfortable 3 seater leather suites. Poacher also has its own router meaning you should always get good strength WiFi.
The Kitchen area is brand new and fully equipped with all you should need including a double oven and grill, electric hob with extractor, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, and dishwasher.
Upstairs is a large new modern bathroom with a bath, separate Shower cubicle, basin vanity unit and WC, heated mirrors and heated towel rail. Both the double and twin bedrooms are cosily decorated and have views across the gardens with countryside beyond – either room can also accommodate a cot if required. Downstairs is a bedroom with bunk beds which is ideal for children.
Outside, is the sheltered courtyard with tables & chairs, barbecue area and fire pit, to sit and relax.
Poacher can be opened with access to the Gamekeeper cottage next door allowing groups of upto 10 people which is very useful for large families or groups of friends wanting luxury self catering cottages to enjoy together.

The cottages have very recently been refurbished so that you can relax in style and comfort. All our cottages have been fitted with new super-soft mattresses, high pressure showers and solid oak furniture throughout to give our guests a true luxury retreat.
Sarah, Jay, Nick and Polly live on site and are always happy to help create your perfect holiday in an unobtrusive manner, whether that’s setting up games in the garden for children or serving drinks by the pool. Nothing is too much trouble.
There are plenty facilities on site to keep the whole family entertained including dogs*, such as the heated outdoor pool and games room. For children, we have a brand-new activity trim trail as well as a trampoline, swings & slide and plenty of garden games. Adults can relax in the formal gardens with the variety of a flower garden, herb garden, beech circle, woodland walk and vegetable patch.
There is plenty to see and do around Glebe House cottages, whether you are looking for a sandy beach to spend a day with the family, or to find the perfect surf conditions and other water sports, or if you want to go on a walk to experience truly inspirational wildlife, geology and scenery. The North Devon & Cornwall coastline is full of variety, with some fabulous beaches, fascinating rock formations all of them linked by the South West Coast Path including: Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, and Hartland Quay and Clovelly.
