Summary: Couple of things I would have to say about this property. For starters the property itself is fine. It was a clean flat with minor inconveniences such as creaking floorboards and noises could be heard easily from people in other flats. At one point when someone was trying to enter their own flat, it sounded like someone was breaking into our own. Also the key to the unit barely worked and was frustrating when trying to enter. When getting to the flat they have a no shoe policy along with other rules, none of this was put in the original listing. This seems very counter to what is typically advertised on Vrbo and other travel apps. Seeing other rules I found out there are also hidden check in fees which again was not put in the description and is very deceptive. As for the surrounding areas, there are a couple of pubs and markets nearby but visiting major landmarks is a longer travel than advertised. I visited while the tube strikes occurred so walking was the main mode of travel. Some reviews claim the walk to Buckingham Palace is 15 min, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The walk is more like 30-40 min. Would recommend staying in the area just not at this specific location.
