Summary: This hilltop warren of stone houses without any adjacent modern town is a step back in time. This home in the heart of it is ancient and modern at once. Steps from the bakery and two restaurants (reservations recommended) we enjoyed them all. Nearby towns offer many more. choices and the roman/Gaul site of Julius Caesar's victory subjugating Vercingatorix and all of Gaul in 54 BC. Alesia. You need a car but the driving is extraordinary in itself. Wonderful Hosts made us feel at home. Heartfelt thanks to them.
