Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The property is quite spacious with three double bedrooms and a large, open plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen. There's not a lot around the local area but it's close to bus / tram routes and a 20 min walk to a metro station. We had booked the property because it was spacious / accommodated a group and to make use of the garden and pool in the late summer warm weather (however we were not able to do so for the negative reasons noted in this review).
Negative: As other reviewers have noted, the property could do with some maintenance - the tap in the toilet is completely loose; the outdoor area was completely overgrown with weeds and rubbish and the pool was green. While the host was really friendly and accommodating in the lead up to our stay, no instructions for accessing the property were provided - given he lives next door, I had assumed he would meet us and so kept him up to date on our timings for arrival but no instructions were received for the lockbox and no one was at the property to meet us. There were no instructions at the property for wifi, what to do with rubbish etc and the host stopped responding to messages. On our arrival, the host acknowledged that the pool needed to be cleaned and offered to do it if we wanted to use it - I said we wanted it cleaned and then the host ignored all further messages. As other reviews have noted, the open staircases would not be suitable for young children.
