5km from Uzès, the property is set in a beautiful valley on the edge of the village of St. Maximin. Surrounded by fields owned by the property, there is a real feeling of being in the country. The property isn't suitable for people with mobility issues as there are many floors and steps around the property. Toddlers new to walking need to be under constant supervision as well to prevent any falls. There is a restaurant and 2 wine producers within walking distance the property.

The property has 3 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a guest toilet. Spacious, bright sitting room with large windows, UK satellite TV, HiFi and plenty of books. Open fireplace for cooler evenings and full central heating. There is a covered dining terrace with gas barbecue. The kitchen is well equipped (the owner is a very keen cook) and has a gas hob with electric oven.

The main attraction of this house is its wonderful setting. The pool (fenced for infant security) is excellently placed on a terrace above the garden & enjoys sun all day. The house is surrounded on 2 sides by its own land of approximately 2 acres.

Summary: The house is utterly beautiful - very spacious, comfortable, well equipped, everything you could want in a holiday home. The pool is wonderful, and very peaceful. The location is fantastic - very rural and quiet, but with nearby restaurants and supermarkets, and other such essentials. We had a wonderful week. Unfortunately when we left, we were sent a very offensive, xenophobic message by the property manager about the state we left the house in, which was upsetting. We had taken out the rubbish, left the place tidy and cleared up, put everything back where it should be. There were one or two tiny bins with some bits left in, the dishwasher hadn’t been unloaded, that was about it! Really horrible end to what was otherwise a lovely week. There was nothing anywhere to suggest we needed to leave the house completely spotless and cleaned. With a cleaning fee includes, this also seems unreasonable. Shame that it ended that way, as we won’t be taking this house again.
