Positive: Great location among the traditional houses in the village on the hillside. Quiet at night. Great views. Wonderful traditional house with some drawbacks as described below. Balcony with traditional cloth drying rack allows for relaxed meals with a spectacular view over the water and the hills behind the house. Very friendly owners who live just a few streets away. Narrow and steep stairs leading up to the apartment would be a challenge for anyone with knee issues. Same (steep road and/ or steps, all very scenic) for the 10min walk down to the main street with bus stops and shops and the beach area a little further below. Great inexpensive regular bus connection to the city of Bastia as well as the other direction (village of Erbalunga) made it possible to visit without a car. Walking to Bastia is also possible (35-40min) but not so pleasant because of fairly heavy traffic.

Negative: The steep stairs leading up to the apartment are one thing, inside the apartment however, is another set of steep stairs with a dangerous low beam at the top as one ascends to the attic which has a very low ceiling and low beams. That's where the second spacious "bedroom" is (no door to the attic, so no privacy). The attic (consisting of 2 open rooms with very low small windows (4of 5) which one can only reach on hands and knees) is great for young folks but certainly not safe for young children or older or tall people. The dishwasher wasn't working and no dish rack provided made washing dishes a bit unpleasant. Less important: a leak below the kitchen sink that couldn't get fixed while we were there. The main door (entrance) has issues with its lock/locking mechanism which made locking and unlocking the place challenging.
