Positive: Quiet location and Guethary is a lovely little place, good for exploring Biarritz, Bayonne and surrounding areas. We arrived by train so used local buses or trains. We had a lovely coastal walk to Saint Jean de Luz one day and got bus back. Several bars and restaurants nearby and if you're there on a Wednesday evening, try to watch the Basque Pelota which happens next door to the villa , or the market on a Sunday morning. Facilities ( washing machine & dishwasher ) in the villa worked well. Coffee beans and machine worked fine.

Negative: We didn't meet the owner so corresponded by messaging. Apartment 2 had a damp musty smell despite using ( & frequently emptying) the dehumidifier. Toilet is at the front of the villa, not near the bathroom or bedroom, this isn't clear in the description. Only one small roll toilet paper supplied , ( we were staying 4 days ) and we were told that we needed to buy more ourselves. Couldn't find any instructions for the oven and there weren't two wine glasses ! Description on booking.com says there is a coffee house on site but I'm not sure what this refers to ?? Supermarket - Spar 10 min walk which was a bit limited.
