Summary: We had planned this trip around my husbands 70th birthday for our family of 10 adults and 2 small children to join us at a special place we could all be together. It was booked in January for arrival in August. The photos on the website were vastly different to how things actually looked and worked. There was no mention of the fact that the downstairs bedrooms were a bit of a dungeon. No air conditioning, and the only windows were filthy and dusty. The whole area smelled of mould. We asked the agent to purchase fans so at least they could have some air down there. The kitchen was very small, hot plates only worked intermittently, and the sink flooded, requiring a plumber. Upstairs bedrooms are a good size with ensuites and lovely balconies with views to the sea. They’re the only rooms with air conditioning, that didn’t work properly, despite a request for it to be fixed. The pool is great, a godsend for the hot weather, again needing maintenance, but not bad. Outdoor dining area dirty and dusty, lights throughout needing new bulbs. The entire area needs a good pressure wash. Overall it is a beautiful property which deserves to be brought back to its true potential. if things had been disclosed appropriately we would never have chosen this property. It is on the market for sale and it seems there is no money being spent unless necessary. Coming from Australia, it was a massive trip to take on and for 35k AUD, it was well below our expectations.
